When you first create a task in Slack, a "View details" button is available underneath the task.

Click the "View details" button. A details window will pop up.

Click on the "Delete task" button at the bottom, under the comments section.

A confirmation dialogue will appear. Click on "Delete".
If the task was created a while ago, you can still delete the task.

Type /todo list to bring up the list of tasks in the channel.

Next to the task you want to delete, click on ellipsis (three dots).

Click on "View details".

Click on the button that says "Delete task".

Confirm that this task is the one you want to delete. This is not reversible.
Deleted tasks are not recoverable.
