Build workflows without code (and let AI do the busywork)
Every team has those repetitive steps that happen over and over again.
A new request comes in → someone assigns it to the right teammate.
Another task gets created → someone sets the due date.
You launch a project → someone builds the same checklist from scratch, one more time.
It’s not that these steps are hard—it’s that they’re constant. And the more work your team takes on, the more of your day disappears into repeating the same admin moves. That’s time you could be spending actually delivering the work.
That’s why Workast has the No-code workflow builder. Instead of doing everything manually, you can set up simple AI-powered rules—triggers, conditions, and actions—that handle the admin in the background. Tasks don’t just land in your workspace, they land organized, assigned, and already moving forward.
📢 1. Pick a trigger
Every workflow starts with a trigger—the moment Workast should step in. You’ve got four simple options:
When a task is created → Triggers as soon as a new task is added from Slack, email, forms, or directly in Workast—ideal for instant assignment, tagging, or scheduling.
When a task is updated → Runs whenever details change (like assignee, tags, or fields), great for keeping tasks organized as they evolve.
When a task is completed → Fires when a task is marked done, perfect for follow-ups, moving it to Done, or sending a notification.
On a schedule → Runs at set times or intervals, best for recurring work like weekly reports, monthly checklists, or catching overdue tasks.
⚡ 2. Choose your actions
After you’ve picked a trigger, the next step is choosing where it applies. Workflows don’t run across your whole account—they watch the Space(s) you select. For example, you might want one workflow that only runs in Client Requests, and another that applies to Marketing.
